"Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them." Mark 10:16
Knee-High Preschool builds with confidence on each child's experience. Our three and four year old programs lay the foundations for success throughout the child's journey. Each classroom is set up to encourage independence, individual exploration, and social development. Our three and four year olds learn through play and self-discovery as they take their first independent educational steps, with child-directed, teacher assisted learning.
The three and four year old programs employ both the Investigator Club and A-Beka curriculums to deliver a well-rounded and creative educational environment. With hands-on and assisted activities, children can experience the world they live in through dramatic play, creative arts, storytelling, and discovery.
With circle time and table work time, the classroom offers a positive beginning to structured learning while still maintaining a child-led experience. A strong foundation for early learning, this instills a sense of accomplishment and confidence each child can bring with him or her through the many challenges of school. Each classroom supports group learning with circle time and tablework time, music and movement, and creative arts. During these times, teachers use one of our forty-two themes to guide children through consonant and vowel identification, sounds, and formation
Our preschool rooms are designed to encourage social interaction, individual exploration, and opportunities for independence. Each room is equipped to foster the learning process through construction and design, dramatic play, writing, art, reading and listening, math and manipulative and science and sensory. Children have the opportunity to reinforce group learning through play.
